This blog is off to a slow start because I’ve got my hands full now with a class I just started, volunteering at the local fireworks party on Monday, and finishing up the packing of stuff to send off to Value Village (the local Goodwill), so apologies to the Gods that be (Juno, Minerva, Diana and all). Next week I’ve got to get started on the hard stuff – citizenship papers, to begin with.
Until then, just some thoughtful Italy dreaming through the days of busy work….today it’s Mondella (moving slight west of Palermo).
The lively fishing harbor at Mondello, is a short distance from the center of the town, between rocky promontories of Monte Pellegrino and Monte Gallo. Once a small village of tuna fishermen, it’s now become a residential area immersed in greenery. (from DK Eyewitness Travel)
Now that sounds a little more like it. Still on that same coast, the northern coast of Sicily, still the Mediterranean climate, but “greenery” sounds better than all those palm trees.
More reading to do. Updates later.
